Background

When you meet someone new, you hand them your business card instead of writing your name, address and phone number on paper. If you meet 10 new people a day you will hand out 10 business cards. By printing the data once, you have eliminated the trouble of writing it again and again.

Now you do the same when you visit web sites, each of them with a form that you need to fill out. With ebCARD all you do is click a button and all that repeated information gets filled in for you in forms that are capable of accepting ebCARD, like this site. Just like the real thing, an ebCARD is handed out only when you want to hand it out. Further the technology used gives you field level control of what is being submitted from your disk i.e. if you do not want to submit your email address even if the form has a field, you erase that field since all the data that is being submitted is visible in the form.
