Win 95/NT : The Installation

Step 1
Read and agree to the license terms for downloading ebCARD Lite version.

ebCARD License Agreement

This agreement specifies the conditions under which the ebCARD software
(the "Software") is licensed to you by Patil Systems, Inc. 
having website at http://www.patils.com (the "Licenser").

SCOPE OF GRANT: Licenser grants to you a non-exclusive license to use
the Software under the following terms.

You may not:
- permit other individuals to modify the software;
- remove any proprietary  notices or labels on the Software;
- change name of Software from LiveFORM or ebCARD;
- remove copyright message of Patil Systems, Inc.;

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
The Software is provided free of charge and on an "AS IS" basis, without
warranty of any kind, including without limitation the warranties of
merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, level of service
provided by the Software or the Licenser and non-infringement. LICENSER
does not warrant that the operation of the Software will be error-free
or secure or that your use of the Software will be uninterrupted. You
bear the entire risk as to the quality and performance of the Software.
In addition, the security mechanisms implemented by Licenser have inherent
limitations, and you must determine that the Software sufficiently meets
your requirements.Should the Software prove defective, you and not
Licenser assume the entire cost of any service and repair. This disclaimer
of warranty constitutes an essential part of the agreement.

TITLE
Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in the Software
shall remain in Licenser. The Software is protected by the appropriate
copyright laws and treaties.

TERMINATION
The license will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with the
limitations described herein.  On termination, you must destroy all copies
of the Software and Documentation.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Under no circumstances and under no legal theory, tort, contract, or
otherwise, shall Licenser or its suppliers or resellers be liable to you
or any other person for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential
damages of any character including, without limitation, damages for loss
of goodwill, work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and
all other commercial damages or losses. In no event will Licenser be
liable for any damages, even if licenser shall have been informed of the
possibility of such damages, or for any claim by any other party.

This Agreement shall be governed by California law.

Step 2
You can download plug-in in one of two ways:

If you can unzip a 40 Kbytes file and copy resulting files to Communicator\Program\Plugins directory, download this zipped file.

If you want to download 600 Kbytes of file so you can simply run setup, download this InstallShield setup program and store it in a folder which is easily accessible to you. Double click on the installer. This will launch the installation program.

Important Note:
After you successfully install, you must press the Refresh Plug-ins Button at the bottom of these instructions. Continue with the installation

Step 3

If you are installing from InstallShield based program, you will be presented with the drive letter on which the installer has detected Netscape. Please go with the recommended drive unless you are certain that you have Netscape installed on a different drive. If you encounter any errors, please see the Troubleshooting Guide.

If you are installing from zipped file, unzip files and copy the components into Communicator\Program\Plugins directory.

Step 4
Click button to refresh plugins.

ebCARD Lite
ebCARD Lite is a simplified version of regular ebCARD. Lite version is not meant for storing sensitive information even though the user may store sensitive information provided the user fills out forms only on trusted sites and the user machine is never compromised. Lite version is quick to download and gives you a good idea about the usefulness of the product.
